Tzakri has resigned.
Kasselakis: “The Democrats are moving into a new phase, defining their political space within the liberal center.”
Tzakri: “I have reached the point of believing that Stefanos Kasselakis is legitimizing an obvious right-wing deviation. This forces me to resign immediately as Vice President and member of ‘THE DEMOCRATS’ and to defend my decades-long, structured socialist, anti-right identity.”
We figured little Stefan out early on. The coup de grâce to the brief historical grace period we granted him came when we discovered how advanced his “Turk-eating” appetites were. And that was long before he—overflowing with Hellenocentrism and jingoism—declared that “Turkey can have no place in the EU, just as it cannot participate in the European defense procurement program. For the past two months, I have stated to the European Democratic Party, as well as to the French Government, that it is unacceptable to include Turkey in this program…”.
His rightward turn comes as no surprise. All these fake, ultra-patriots fish in murky waters wherever they can find them. This guy is casting his net in the center-right. It couldn’t suit him better, nor could he find a better fit.
Good riddance… patriot!
