The Awakening of Poseidon

“Attica Roots Festival: Dimitra Galani Enchanted the Audience at Sounio – Performing Songs by Vassilis Tsitsanis and Ecclesiastical Hymns at the Archaeological Site of Sounio.”

Ποσειδώνας (μυθολογία) - Βικιπαίδεια

That old clique of Neo-Orthodox intellectuals—which has recently shrunk following the deaths of prominent members like Giannaras, Savvopoulos, and others—was hell-bent on marrying two completely disparate worlds: the Ancient Greek and the Orthodox world. They call it “Helleno-Christian civilization.” In reality, if these otherwise alien worlds resemble each other in anything, it is in the anthropomorphism of their gods and the fanaticism of their masses of believers.

Yesterday at Sounio, Galani—as Nionios’s (*) former partner-in-crime (*) in the “get involved in everything, as long as money and fame keep rolling in” mindset—reportedly sang and chanted ecclesiastical hymns with a choir inside the archaeological site! Ti Ypermacho Stratigo ta Nikitiria (To Thee, the Champion Leader)! You heard that right.

Fine, the gods had been sleeping for centuries. Was there really a need to wake up the always thin-skinned Poseidon from the depths of Sounio’s azure sea? Must the enraged god, fueled by the lunacies and irreverence of mortals, start shaking earth and sea with his trident once again? With the state Kyriakos has left Greece in, are we really in a position to handle storms and earthquakes right now? Wouldn’t it be better if he brought his trident down on the heads of those who committed Hubris beneath his Temple? Starting with a direct blow to the head of the utterly irreverent and filthy rich… leftist, Dimitra Galani?

(*) “The stunning villa in Spetses, the helicopter taking off at the drop of a hat, the legendary August parties with Savvopoulos and Dimitra Galani, alongside the former king and high society, the yacht, and above all, the sheer arrogance of the Koutsolioutsos family, were common knowledge to all of fashionable Athens”.

Look at that—the glamour of “art,” Savvopoulos and Galani, hand in glove with fraudsters and royals! You might ask, what’s so strange about that? “Birds of a feather flock together.” Does Savvopoulos believe in any god other than Mammon? A path of absolute degradation, ideological inconsistency, hypocrisy, collaborationism, and fraud. That is Nionios for you. Galani, of course, is no better. She too has passed such tests with flying colors.

You miserable scoundrels, you deserve a good thrashing!
