THE (former) PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC in front of the Evros fence.
___________
“Europe’s borders are here, in Thrace, which constitutes the shield of the European Union,” declared Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
“The European Union is a territory of values. At the same time, it is a geographical territory. And as a geographical territory, it has borders. And its borders are here, in Thrace, which constitutes the shield of the European Union. Today, here, we see the image of Europe that protects us, that does not leave its borders to chance, that cooperates, that understands citizens have the right to feel safe. The construction of the fence is a Greek initiative. An initiative supported by the European Union with resources amounting to 1.7 billion euros for equipment, new technologies and surveillance systems.” (Europe Day 2026)
Hideous crimes concealed behind grandiloquent words such as patriotism, order, realism-pragmatism, and… excellence.
History never vindicates those who invoke security and patriotism in order to legitimize inhumanity. The real barbarians are not the persecuted people seeking salvation, but those who build careers upon fear, exclusion, and indifference toward human life. A society that becomes accustomed to seeing corpses at the bottom of the sea and remains silent risks losing first its soul and then its democracy.
I cannot stand people like Apostolos Tzitzikostas for one reason: they are “clanging cymbals.” In deeds and in words. They pretend to possess institutional prestige, even though they embezzled it and even though it is counterfeit. Let popular wisdom believe that “you cannot eat fish unless you get your ass wet.” Oh yes, you can — and excessively so. Fresh and cleaned, too, if you belong to that breed that rises on other people’s backs. You climb like ivy. Your own trunk cannot lift you high enough.
We wrote here earlier in an article entitled:
“The royalist… milkman Apostolos Tzitzikostas from Thessaloniki, Commissioner! We expected it.” (August 1, 2024)
Apostolos Tzitzikostas is the new Greek Commissioner in the Commission
The Tzitzikostas family are dyed-in-the-wool royalists. His father, Georgios, was a chosen carrier of such votes for Konstantinos Karamanlis and Konstantinos Mitsotakis. For years he served as MP for Thessaloniki and Minister of Macedonia and Thrace.
One of his sons, Apostolos’s brother, was my student at the famous Hellenic College of London. The public school that Konstantinos Mitsotakis gifted to the “king” in return for the favor of the Apostasy, which made the family wealthy.
The offspring Kyriakos, now Prime Minister himself, walks in the footsteps of his royalist-junta father. He continues the donations. He made the royalist-junta offspring Apostolos the Greek Commissioner to the Commission.
Not only do the corrupt remain unpunished in this country, but they are rewarded in every possible way — with offices and money.
Power in Greece is hereditary. Along with it, the country’s wealth is “bequeathed” from father to son and grandchildren. From Konstantinos Mitsotakis to Kyriakos and Bakoyannis. And from Georgios Tzitzikostas to Apostolos. “Without getting their feet wet.” Their only asset is their surname and their long service to corruption and fraud.
Likewise hereditary are injustice, marginalization, and punishment for the honest and dignified. Likewise, from father to son and grandson.
This country will never recover. It will never see a bright day. As long as disgraceful names — condemned by the incorruptible court of History — continue to rule the land and distribute among themselves what never belonged to them, Greece will move in the opposite direction from countries and states that possess even a minimal political and legal civilization and meritocracy (Rule of Law).
Fortunately, the friend of the De Grèce family and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the great Apostolos Tzitzikostas, as a European, patriot, and guardian of order and security, keeps outside our borders the… illegals, the hordes of barbarians with the famous “Evros wall.” The “wretched of the earth” who threaten our security, our bread, the purity of the race with the DNA of Pericles and Aspasia, untouched through the centuries until today — as GREEK. And as everyone knows, “every non-Greek is a barbarian.”
But who, damn it, will protect us from the real barbarians?
I do not fear the destitute refugee who managed to emerge alive from the rotten death-ship in the Mediterranean. I fear the “Tzitzikostases.”
And as long as we allow them, undisturbed, to commit crimes hidden behind resounding words about European values and the homeland — in whose name they can send unfortunate migrants to the bottom of the Aegean — those who possess even the slightest conscience have no right to sleep peacefully. At the seabed of Pylos, bodies are not sleeping. They are being devoured by sharks.
And that is a sacrilegious crime, damn it! With many guilty parties. And foremost among them, the “neutral” ones. Those who hide behind other camouflage words:
“And what can I do? I can’t afford it. You cannot fight the System.”
